TML Quiz setup and support

TML Quiz is preparing for launch. Public installation is not yet available. These notes describe the app being tested before launch.
Create and review a draft
- Open TML Quiz in your Shopify admin. Start blank, choose a product-finder, personality, or feedback template, or describe the quiz for an AI proposal.
- Edit questions, answer options, next steps, and result screens. Product recommendations use products from your own Shopify catalog.
- Preview the paths shoppers can take. For multiple-choice branching, the first matching rule is used, followed by the default next step.
- Adjust design settings. AI proposals must be applied explicitly and can be undone. Pro brand styling uses your store name and chosen colors and typography; it does not automatically read your theme’s design.
- If you enable email capture, choose whether email is optional or required and write consent wording suitable for your store. An email address is saved only with the consent checkbox selected.
- Save the draft. Draft changes do not change the published version shoppers see.
Publish and place a quiz
- Review questions, results, product choices, and email capture, then select Publish. Publishing checks quiz paths and creates a version.
- In the Shopify theme editor, open the page or template where the quiz should appear.
- Add the Quiz app block and paste the quiz ID shown in the app editor. Save the theme.
- Test the published quiz on your storefront, including the result and any product links. Theme support for app blocks depends on the theme and section you use.
Each Quiz app block selects a specific quiz. Publishing a quiz alone does not place it in your theme. The editor preview does not create shopper responses or completion analytics.
Responses and AI allowances
Use the quiz’s response page to review submissions, export CSV, or delete a response. Completion analytics count quiz starts and completed submissions.
The app shows your available AI actions and plan. A generation, revision, or styling request that returns a usable proposal uses one action; three Pro brand design variants returned together use one action. Applying or dismissing an existing proposal does not use another action. Manual editing remains available when your AI allowance is used or AI is unavailable.
Paid AI allowances use UTC calendar months; Shopify subscription billing uses a separate 30-day cycle. Review the plan screen and Shopify’s approval screen for current prices and features before subscribing.
