Set up TML URL Redirect

Follow these steps before using redirects for a live migration, campaign cleanup, or storefront URL change.

    Install the app

    Install TML URL Redirect from Shopify and approve the requested scopes shown during Shopify authorization.

    Enable the theme extension

    Open the active Shopify theme and enable the TML URL Redirect theme extension so storefront redirect handling can run.

    Create a redirect rule

    Add a source path and destination. Use store-relative destinations for internal redirects, or allowlist an external domain before using an external destination.

    Review sync status

    Check whether rules are synced, pending, skipped, or failed. Resolve conflicts before depending on a redirect for launch traffic.

    Use import/export for bulk work

    Import CSV files for migrations and export rule lists for review, backup, or collaboration.

Test representative source URLs in the storefront, confirm destination behavior, and review any sync warnings. Redirect behavior can be affected by Shopify platform routes, theme changes, other apps, and destination availability.
